How I Think About Design

Published on June 13, 2025

These are the core ideas that guide my design work:

People come first

I'm obsessed with understanding the humans who'll use my products. What keeps them up at night? What makes their day better? Every design decision starts here.

Systems beat one-offs

I create flexible design systems and component libraries that can grow and adapt. One-off solutions are cool, but scalable systems are where the magic happens.

Data guides creativity

Love me some user research and analytics. But I also know when to trust my gut. The best work happens when we blend both.

Less is more with AI

Keep AI interactions subtle and focused on utility. Skip the fancy branding and avatars – users just want the value without the fluff.

Start small, scale smart

Launch with core features that solve real problems, then expand based on what users actually need. Not every data point needs to be front and center.

Teamwork makes the dream work

The coolest stuff I've built came from tight collaboration with engineers, product folks, and fellow designers. Great products need different perspectives.

Design for tomorrow

I build solutions that can scale and evolve. Whether it's a startup or enterprise product, I'm always thinking about future growth.
